Our purpose is to share the stories of children being raised on a foreign mission field in hopes of igniting a vision for our own children to become true SENDERS and GOERS and always TELLING.
Our Lord calls children an heritage and a quiver of arrows in our arms. We must train them to do as Jesus commanded us ALL. {Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Psalm 127:4} {Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15}
What will be IN this publication?
What a privilege it will be to see the mission field through the eyes of a child! This will be a Q & A type interview between us and an “MK” {missionary kid}. Children who grow up in a culture different from their parents often create their own unique culture, and are then labeled as “third culture kids”. This gives them a very distinct view of the world that can teach us to look outside ourselves.
There are so many cultures and regions in this world where missionaries have taken the Gospel of our Lord Jesus… and in the process have raised their children. Often, we forget that not every people group lives as we do here in America. Learning of these different customs and traditions can help our children learn a different perspective about the world and a compassion for others.
In this section we will have puzzles and fun activities to aid in learning about different countries.
We will encourage children in having personal Bible reading time with a suggested plan!
Missionary parents share a story of life and ministry on a foreign field… and how it might effect their children.
Each issue will have it’s own distinctive sections that are uniquely relevant to that missionary or his country.
